Summer Wine trip to Bullas on July 30th

This trip heads north towards Caravaca de la Cruz. Our first stop is at one of only 5 factories left making the colorful traditonal Jarapa rugs. Made in this area since the 15th century these rugs are colorful, soft, warm and surprisingly durable.
Next the village of Bullas has been producing wine for over 2000 years. We will visit the Bodegas del Rosario, a cooperative that presses the grapes from the local growers. Mara will show us how they make vino with the indigenous Monastrell grapes and host a tasting of several of their wines. After our fill of good wine we have lunch in one of the best of our wine trip restaurants – Borrego Bar Restaurante for an excellent meal.
