Wine Tasting & Lunch Day Trip
A trip back in time. This is the oldest bodega in the area, a remarkable place. Built after the Spanish Civil War, twenty years later the doors were closed and little has changed since. We will visit this treasure of a bodega and compare the old wine making methods with their modern bodega next door. Naturally followed by a wine tasting.
Legend has it the Moors brought the pit loom to Spain, later it became the standard European loom. This is one of the only five traditional factories that remain. Paco and Maria craft these wonderfully colored Mediterranean rugs on their perennial looms, another blast to the past.
On these trips the restaurants are always the most challenging part. Some are better than others. However Los Gemelos is consistently one of the best places we lunch. Vicente and his crew serve a generous, seemingly never-ending, meal.
